To say that we enjoyed meeting with Steven is an understatement! Today we got to sit down and have lunch with Steven, who travels from York to Lincoln and Omaha for various treatments and doctor visits. He has had a long road with cancer, starting all the way back in the 1980’s when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Although it had spread throughout his body and he was only given four months to live, Steven beat colon cancer and continued his job of driving trucks in New Hampshire. He then moved to Nebraska to drive for a different company, and is now fighting prostate cancer that has unfortunately spread to his bones. Although he has not had the best luck, he doesn’t let it affect his spirit. Steven talked about how he takes things one day at a time and shared with us that you never know what is going to happen. Sometimes 4 months can turn into thirty years!

We wish Steven the best of luck in his fight against cancer, and look forward to future visits with him!
