Today we had the pleasure of meeting with and donating to Larry. Larry and his wife have been on a roller coaster the past month after it was discovered that Larry had a tumor right above his stomach, on the esophagus. Since then, they have been making daily trips from Beatrice to Lincoln for chemo and radiation treatment. They both have had more than their fair share of health problems, but as they told us, “getting old ain’t for sissies!” This current treatment regiment ends August 11, and we are hoping for a good outcome!
It was an absolute pleasure getting to know this couple. Their smiles, stories, and company were greatly appreciated, and STAC wishes Larry a very speedy recovery!
